The VITO oiltester determines the temperature and the quality of your frying oil. Measuring the „Total Polar Material“ (TPM) content in the oil, the tester gives you an accurate overview of the quality of your frying medium in a percentage value. The VITO oiltester comes with a colored display which works after the traffic light principle and gives clear warning when it is time to dispose your fat. Plastic parts must not come into contact with the deep-frying oil.
Do not touch the hot probe. There is a risk of burns.
Remove the fried food before the measurement.
Wait until no more bubbles rise (approx. 5 min).
Minimum distance of 0,4in to metallic parts.
Measure in hot oil min. 40°F (104°C), max. 392°F (200°C.)
Turn on the device.
Take note of the min-/max mark when immersing the sensor into the hot oil.
Move the sensor a little in the hot oil.
Until the final measurement result is reached, TPM-value and display color flash.
Note down the final readings.
